With a free WordPress account, you can’t store your audio files on the WordPress site. You’ll have to store them elsewhere. I recommend SoundCloud.

First, you’ll need to sign up for a SoundCloud account.

Next, upload your edited MP3 file.

When you’re ready to share that file in your blog post, you’ll need to get the embed code from your audio file and paste it into WordPress. To do that, sign into SoundCloud and click on “Share” for the audio file you want to post to your blog. Then click on “Embed” and copy the embed code.

Once you publish your post, you’ll have a player that looks something like this:
